Itinerary highlights:
Navigation to Pinzón Island – Depart from the main dock in Puerto Ayora for a ~1 hour 15 minute boat ride to Pinzón Island. The ride may be bumpy, but conditions are generally manageable. A sport fishing demonstration is often included during the journey.
Snorkeling in Penguin Bay – Jump into the clear, shallow waters off Pinzón for your first snorkeling session. Swim alongside sea turtles, white-tip reef sharks, sea lions, tropical fish, and possibly rays.
Navigation to La Fe Bay – After snorkeling and a snack break, continue toward La Fe Bay, a quiet cove on the west coast of Santa Cruz Island. En route, you’ll pass Roca Sin Nombre (Rock with No Name), where you can spot seabirds resting or flying overhead.
Snorkel or Beach Time at La Fe Bay – If the tide is high, enjoy a second snorkeling session directly from the boat. If the tide is low, make a wet landing (jump from the boat to the shore) for beach time with the option to snorkel from shore, often alongside sea turtles, marine iguanas, and more. (This stop is subject to weather conditions. In case of changes, an alternative site will be visited.)
Return – Head back to Puerto Ayora by boat, arriving around 3:00 PM.
