Itinerary highlights:

  • Highlands Transfer – Begin your adventure with a scenic drive from town to the upper part of Isabela Island.

  • Sierra Negra Crater Rim Hike – Hike along the edge of Sierra Negra Volcano, stopping to admire panoramic views and observe volcanic fumaroles and yellow sulfur deposits.

  • Sulfur Mines – Visit the site of active sulfur deposits within the crater—a unique geological feature on the island.

  • Volcanic Lava Tunnel – Depending on conditions, explore a volcanic tunnel or cave near the trail.

  • Return to Town – After the visit, hike back to your starting point and return to Puerto Villamil.
